Sofia is conducting research into the ways in which offenders’ life circumstances contribute to breaches of license conditions, non-compliance, recalls, and reoffending. Her work examines how insufficient or fragmented support and limited or absent opportunities may fail to mitigate these risks during community-based sentences, and the resulting social and economic costs.
